Finite-Element Analysis

BEASY (Boundary Element Analysis System)

Computational Mechanics, Inc.

BEASY is a general-purpose, boundary element computer program forengineering analysis. BEASY fully utilizes the boundary element methodfor a system that is very easy-to-use, that significantly increasesengineering productivity by giving analysis data in the early stages ofdesign when it is most effective, that reduces engineering time requiredto prepare analysis models, and that delivers high-quality solutions.BEASY can solve a wide range of stress, heat transfer, fracture, acoustic, corrosion, and electrostatic problems, that is used byengineers to determine stresses, displacements, strains, temperatures, and electric fields. Calculation can be made in two-dimensional, three-dimensional, or axisymmetric geometry, and analyses can includesubstructuring or zones.BEASY is a complete system with fully integrated preprocessing and post-processing specifically designed for use with BEASY. The functionsinclude complete mesh generation and formation of all data required foranalysis. Results can be displayed using color graphics. BEASY hasinterfaces to CAD systems, IGES, and third-party mesh generating systems.
